A monologue in nine images. A search begins as a search for the self — “now I look for myself every day” — and turns into a search for the other: the train that moves towards you, the street that becomes a body of water. At the end a silhouette climbs out of the dark of a stairwell. The film offers no resolution, only a conversation.
The vertical frame is not a platform decision but a thesis: the city at night is vertical — door slits, train windows, traffic lights, corridors. The frame is the first actor.
Six international selections, 2021.
